An excerpt from the story
There was once an old lady called Mother Nature. She lived in the mountains and she swam in the streams, and she brewed all the colours that I saw in my dreams.
She was tall and wide, and had trees for her thighs, and she listened and listened to the skies and the tide. She could jump between mountains and turn waterfalls to fountains, and she could swim in the sea much deeper than me.
She could run faster than leopards and protect sheep like the shepherds, and yet she cried like the tide as the planet died at her side.
She pleaded to the people to not litter the seas, and she asked them kindly to not fell the trees.
She shielded the animals from the hunters and thieves, and she begged them to leave the whales in the seas.
She soaked up the sun as its burning begun, and she tried and tried as her home slowly died.
But then YOU came running up by her side!
“Let’s save the planet!” you cried, as the animals cheered far and wide, and the trees stood up taller, side by side...

This was given as a baby gift for a first time mother. One of the reason I chose this book is because I am vegan and if I can further the knowledge of loving Mother Nature and causing as little carbon footprint as possible for the next generation I am all for sending this positive message.
Stuart French is a Master Wordsmith in "Remembering Mother Nature", with a very worldly topic on a child's level. Starting with the high quality of the front and back cover, Bravo, wonderful sensory experience before my 2yr old grandson and I ever opened it up. The illustrations in this incredible book are so sweet, colorful and authentic. Second thing my grandson noticed was my long silver hair was just like Mother Nature's. He loves this book and it is his favorite at nap time and again at bedtime. Interestingly enough he keeps going back to the page where Mother Earth says "STOP" and he does his hand the same as if to be genuinely serious about stopping them from hurting the Earth, he got the message!!! I could go on and on, just buy this book for the children in your life and make this difficult yet serious topic a gentler way to get the conversation started at young age. Looking forward to getting the other books in the collection. 💞
I suggest you not use DHL. My book has been sitting for several days. Hopefully soon I will get the book.
Remembering Mother Nature is a delightful book! The illustrations are colorful and simplistic. The depiction of Mother Nature with all our earthly elements is so touching. I hope all the adults and children that read this book will continue to take care of Mother Nature!
Love the ideas and illustrations !
